In The First Quarter Of 2015 "ZTMC" Increased Production Of Titanium Sponge By 49.6%

"Zaporozhye Titanium And Magnesium Combine" Ltd., included in the titanium business of Group DF, in the first quarter of 2015 increased production of titanium sponge by 49.6% (1523,8 to 2279,9 tons) and a 36.5% reduction in the production of titanium slag (from 2,500 to 1588 tons).

"The combine increases production of basic combine production — titanium sponge. In the 1st quarter, the company managed not only to produce more sponge, but more to implement. In real terms the growth of shipments totaled 76.4% – sales volume increased from 1 209,6 to 2 133,4 tons. We have fully implemented production plans, — commented the Director of "ZTMC" Vladimir Sivak, — at the same time, the decline in production of titanium slag was planned, because it was in the first quarter was carried out major repairs of one of the three ore-thermal furnaces for the smelting of slag".

To ensure uninterrupted production in the 1st quarter of 2015 was done several overhaul repairs (budget of 7.9 million USD). In particular, they were overhauled ore-thermal furnace # 2 (titanium slag smelting), two electrolysis cell (production of magnesium from magnesium chloride), support No. 3 power lines (stable power supply to the combine), decanting centrifuge (provides dehydration of sludge of industrial wastewater to the Central treatment facilities of the combine according to environmental standards), as well as a number of other objects. According to Vladimir Sivak, due to the growth of production and sales, the company management have decided to increase the salaries of employees by 10% from 1 April 2015.
